Bisharo Ali Mohamed

Bisharo Ali Mohamed is a clinical psychologist with over three years’ experience in democracy building and policymaking. Bisharo Ali Mohamed is currently a consultant at the Green String Network, a nonprofit organization, which brings together professionals and experts in the field of peacebuilding, trauma healing, and sustainable economic development. Previously, she worked with the federal and regional governments of Somalia and with the mentally ill at Mathari Hospital, one of the biggest hospitals in Nairobi. Bisharo holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the United States International University-Africa. Bisharo is passionate about conflict resolution from a psychosocial perspective. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Bisharo plans to advocate for affordable, accessible, and improved mental health care for her community by influencing the policies of her country.
