Bosco Mkombozi Karake

Bosco Mkombozi Karake joined BRD in June 2015 as the Chief Internal Auditor. He is Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) with over 10 years post qualification experience in Audit, Accounting, Business Advisory, and Lecturing Professional Accountancy Courses and University Financial Management Modules.

Bosco Mkombozi Karake has previously worked as the Group Chief Internal Auditor of Horizon Group Ltd and also accumulated wealth of experience having worked in various capacities for Deloitte Zambia, PWC Rwanda and KPMG International Development Advisory services.

He is also an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (iCPAR) having served as  the Chairman of its Disciplinary Commission 2013/15, and is currently serving as the 3rd President and Chairman of the iCPAR Governing Council 2015/17.

Mkombozi also holds a Bachelor’s of Science (1st Class Honours) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University and an MBA from Delta International University.
