Bruce Dube was recently listed on Forbes 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs In Africa, Bruce Dube is a 35 year old Managing Director of Nine80 Digital which is a Pan African digital publishing company that owns numerous digital media platforms. In July 2014, he was also listed as one of the Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young People in SA. In June 2015, he was listed as one of SA’s Top 100 Young Bosses by The Sowetan. In November 2015, he was nominated for the 2015 Africa Youth Award for MEDIA EXCELLENCE. In 2016 he was listed on Brand South Africa’s Top 40 Under 40 Young People In SA List. In 2017, he was recognized by The Financial Mail as one of SA’s Top Young Black Execs and featured in their yearly ‘Black Book’ . In 2020 he was nominated by Africa Youth Awards as its African Youth Entrepreneur and in In 2022 he was selected as one of the Sunday Worlds Unsung Hero’s. He was later selected as News24’s Young Mandelas in July 2022.
Bruce owns youth portals such as Youth Village , SA Hip Hop Mag, StartUp Magazine, Farmers Magazine, The Yanos , Botswana Youth Magazine and more.
His platforms particularly Youth Village has given SA youth access to developmental youth information on areas such as education, employment, entrepreneurship, opportunities etc since 2010. His SA Hip Hop Magazine is the biggest digital mouth piece for the SA Hip Hop culture in South Africa.
His StartUp Magazine has given SA’s SMEs a platform to share business triumphs and challenges, opportunities and works as a resource to inspire inspiration in SA.
