Charity Chanda Lumpa

Ms Lumpa is an accomplished executive with over 32 years working experience in the insurance, banking, tourism and telecommunications industries. Ms Lumpa retired from active employment in 2015 and has previously held the positions of Managing Director of the then Zambia National Tourism Board, Ecobank Zambia Limited and Airtel Networks Zambia Plc. To her achievements is having successfully set up Ecobank Zambia Limited as a greenfield project in 2008 and became its founding Managing Director.

She is also the Chairperson of the SOS Children’s Villages Zambia and serves as a Director on the boards of Air Namibia (and is the Chairperson of the Audit Commitee), Livingstone International University of Tourism Excellence and Business Management and on the government appointed project board of the Women’s Bank Zambia Limited. Ms Lumpa also serves as an investment panellist of the Malawi Innovation Challenge fund, an impact investment fund of DFID, IFAD and UNDP in Malawi.

Ms Lumpa holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance), a Bachelors of Art Degree in Public Administration and a postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management.
