Charles Degold Gomez

Charles Degold Gomez, has five years of experience in community development and the disability field, the empowerment of visually impaired people in particular. Charles is the program manager of the Start Now Organization, where he manages, initiates and designs activities for his organization. Charles Degold Gomez is also a volunteer at the Crime Free Society Organization as the national coordinator serving the whole country. Charles is the initiator of Jump High, a project aimed to create job placements and internships for the visually impaired graduates in Gambia(Africa). Charles holds a social initiator certificate from the International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs in Kerala India. Transforming mindsets and advocating for equal participation of visually impaired people in social engagements is what he plans to do upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship.
