Charles Habiyaremye
Charles Habiyaremye, a medical doctor, has eleven years of experience in the community development sector, especially in community health and human rights. Charles Habiyaremye is the founder of the Association des Orphelins les plus vulnérables du Burundi, an association for Burundian orphans. He previously served as their president and legal representative. He is also the founder of the Health Center Rema Mugenzi of Buganda and Health Center Agakiza of Mahande and co-founder of HABIB Pharmaceutical, a wholesaler pharmacy. He served as the national coordinator of the Association des étudiants homologués des universités privées du Burundi, a student organization. Currently, Charles is the chief executive officer of HABIB Pharmaceutical, a professor of Anatomy in the Hope Africa University’s Department of Anesthesiology, a general practitioner at Mpanda General Hospital, and an advisor to the country director of Youth Globe. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Charles plans to enhance and expand his pharmaceutical and medical equipment business by cooperating with American companies.
