Chilel Kaba Jawara

Chilel Kaba Jawara is a chartered accountant and an executive director of Gambian Institute of Chartered Accountants (a regulatory body for accountants in Gambia), and a board subcommittee member of Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (a regulatory body for businesses in Gambia Africa). Chilel Kaba Jawara is an audit manager at DT Associates/Deloitte with 13 years’ experience in advisory, internal and external audit services of organizations locally and internationally, IFRS, financial and management accounting, research, and industry analysis. She’s also a mentor and coach to over 20 youths and young professionals and a member in groups involved in visiting and distributing food to the sick, poor, and needy, and searching for medical funding for the sick. After the Fellowship, she hopes to improve the financial regulatory body using her new knowledge, network and connections to help close the gaps and become an international standard regulatory accountancy body.
