Chris Forrest

Chris Forrest has been on the forefront of the South African comedy scene since the late 90’s. He was Celebrity Masterchef SA’s first winner; he’s a TV presenter; MC, Comedian (and did we mention Dad and Husband?

His trademark dry sense of humour, quick wit, thought provoking one-liners and thinking person’s comedy has made him one of the country’s most popular comedians.

Equally at home MC’ing an event or performing stand-up comedy, Chris has performed at every worthwhile comedy club and festival in South Africa, as well as being featured on some of the biggest comedy stages including Heavyweight Comedy Jam, Blacks Only and the Kingsize Comedy Shows.

No stranger to the international scene, Chris was chosen to perform at the Edinburgh Festival twice as well as having performed at a number of comedy clubs in London including the Lyric Theatre. He has also ‘played’ major festivals in Ghana, Botswana and Swaziland.

His one-man shows He’s A Really Nice Guy, The Flipside, The Guy From TV and most recently, Who’s Your Daddy? have all been flighted on Comedy Central.

Chris Forrest has toured his hilarious one-man show, Who’s Your Daddy? around the country to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. The show is a Dad’s journey to fatherhood and Chris sheds some glaringly honest light on his experiences of being a father.

In 2013 and 2016, Chris hosted the prestigious Comics Choice Awards.

In 2015, Chris was taken out of his comfort zone when he ended up in the kitchen for the coveted title of South Africa’s first Celebrity Masterchef, a title he managed to secure by beating Patricia Lewis in the finale.

2017 has seen Chris Forrest as the irreverent host of SABC 3’s fresh new comedy game, It’s A Fact, that puts celebrity tales under the spotlight to test their ability to lie.
