Christelle Bay Chongwain
Christelle Bay Chongwain is a youth worker and an advocate of peace and good governance. She is the founder and Director of Hope for the Needy Association (HOFNA), a youth led nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping the most underprivileged and marginalized youth in Cameroon achieve lasting positive changes in their lives. She has seven years of experience working in the civil society sector with a focus on education promotion, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and community development. Christelle Bay Chongwain is a certified chemistry instructor from the Higher Teacher’s Training College of the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon, and holds a higher national diploma in Banking and Finance. Upon completion of the Washington Fellowship, she plans to use the knowledge and experience acquired to contribute to the development of civic leadership and engagement in Cameroon as a route to foster youth empowerment and community development.
