Confidence Seleme

Confidence Seleme studied Copywriting and Marketing at the AAA School of Advertising. He is also a certified Facilitator and has completed a Ministerial course with Grace House Bible Church. He is an award-winning author of 29 books. His passion for writing was ignited early on in his life at 14 when he started writing poetry and short stories. In his late teens, he won SALA (South African Literary Awards) in the sections of Poetry and Short Story writing. Later on, he won at the African Authors Awards. He has written on topics such as Leadership, Personal Development, and Team Effectiveness, and he has also released Poetry and Prose anthologies. He is also a resident Motivational Speaker on SAfm, one of South Africa’s most prominent national radio stations. Before joining SAfm, he was a resident Motivational Speaker at Kaya FM, and Alex FM. Confidence is also a part-time lecturer at the Marketplace Ministry Institute where he teaches on subjects such as Leadership, Emotional Intelligence and Personal Mastery.

Confidence is also the founder and CEO of Ascension Book Publishers, a boutique publishing company specialising in publishing inspirational African stories (www.ascensionbookpublishers.com). He also heads up ULP Authors Forum, which is a wing of Unleashing Leadership Potential Foundation (www.ulpza.com), an NPO founded by Wits Business School Director, Prof. Maurice Radebe. Under the ULP Authors Forum banner, Confidence has interviewed some of the most renowned authors and business leaders in South Africa, including Prof. Tshilidzi Marwala, Prof. Bonang Mohale, Mark Williams and many more. Confidence also runs writing workshops to develop the next generation of Authors. He also runs a programme called ULP #YoungReadersYoungLeaders which reaches out to youth in communities, teaching them about leadership and the importance of reading and writing. He has donated over 2000 books to young people within some of South Africa’s most disadvantaged communities.

He is passionate about developing people and helping them reach their full potential. Confidence was voted as part of the 100 SA Shining Stars in 2020. He has helped numerous authors publish their books, allowing them to reach their goals and impact lives. Confidence is also a husband and father, as well as an entrepreneur and he seeks to become a role model for young men.
