Craig McMurray

Craig McMurray comes from a farming background and began his working career in the forestry industry. During this time, he managed the family timber and sugar cane operations in South Africa, and later timber operations in the DRC, Madagascar, and Mozambique. Preceding that, he was at Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank. In 2004 Craig founded a private equity company investing in inner-city residential property in Johannesburg. Craig later co-founded Bridgehead Real Estate Fund, focusing on real estate investments and developments. In 2009, Craig formed Respublica Student Living, a national student accommodation developer, manager and owner. He holds a B.Sc. Forestry, Stellenbosch and an MBA, Oxford Brookes, UK.
