Cynthia Nkoua Badzi

Cynthia Nkoua Badzi has over seven years’ experience as biologist at the National Laboratory of Public Health. For two of the years spent at the institution, Cynthia was the lab manager for sentinel surveillance of influenza and is currently working in monitoring people living with HIV by the TCD4 lymphocytes measurement. Cynthia Nkoua Badzi is also the vice-president of Association Couleurs Congolaise, an NGO involved in human rights, culture, and HIV sensitization. Cynthia holds a Master’s degree in Biology from the Marien Ngouabi University, Congo Brazzaville where she focused on the effectiveness of one traditional medicinal plant against malaria. She is writing a thesis in the same field for her PhD. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Cynthia plans to continue her work in health sector with a focus on malaria and improving the quality and care management system. Stayed in Africa.
