Daisy Karimi Muthamia

Daisy Karimi Muthamia is a certified project management professional (PMP) and an Electrical engineer. She holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and is pursuing an MSc in Energy Management, both from the University of Nairobi. Daisy Karimi Muthamia has been a project engineer at the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company since 2011 and is also a founding member of Strauss Energy that manufactures photo voltaic integrated roofing tiles and was featured as the People’s Choice Winner Worldwide in the 1776 global challenge cup (energy category). Strauss Energy is housed at the Kenya Climate Innovation Centre, an initiative of World Bank’s InfoDev, at the Strathmore Business School. After the Fellowship, she intends to use the rich network and acquired skills to spearhead initiatives to close the energy deficiency in Kenya and Africa, as well as mentor young women to take up sciences, engineering, and entrepreneurship.
