Daniel Ominde

Daniel Ominde is a broadcast journalist working for Urban Radio in Kisumu, Kenya.

Ominde is founding member and author with the Africa Blogging Network that brings together politics bloggers and journalists from English, French, Swahili and Portuguese speaking African countries. An active member of the Bloggers Association of Kenya (Executive Director, Western Kenya Chapter). He runs a blog known as Ominde’s World – danielominde.co.ke.

He is passionate about telling stories beyond the newsroom, often using his personal blog and social media platforms to tell stories from angles that are often ignored by traditional media. He writes about socio-economic and political issues affecting his readers from the across the continent.
