Danladi Verheijen
Danladi Verheijen is the co-founder and Managing Director of Verod Capital, a leading Anglophone West African private equity firm established in 2008.
Prior to founding Verod, Danladi Verheijen was a Vice President at Citibank Nigeria, where he led corporate finance and investment banking transactions. He also managed a private equity portfolio and represented Citibank on the advisory committee of Nigeria’s largest private equity firm. Danladi began his career in strategy consulting at the Chicago offices of McKinsey & Co, and he later moved to Nigeria, serving as Vice President at Ocean & Oil Holdings/Avante Capital, where he worked on financial advisory transactions.
Danladi has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in Engineering Economic Systems & Operations Research from Stanford University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Calvin College. Danladi was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014 and an Archbishop Tutu Fellow in 2013. He is also a Director of the African Venture Capital Association (AVCA).
