David Behr

David Behr is a leading internet pioneer and entrepreneur in Africa, having founded ZOL in 1995 and grown it into the largest ISP in Zimbabwe. David Behr joined Liquid Telecom in January 2012 through acquisition. As Chief Product Officer, David has a wide-reaching role leading our current and future product portfolio across all group companies, covering retail, enterprise and wholesale segments and ensuring we remain competitive in a rapidly changing industry. His team keeps us creating sustainable value for our customers by solving their biggest telecommunication challenges through innovative products and solutions.

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, David Behr has a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Bristol, focusing on telecommunications and computer science. He returned to Zimbabwe to run ZOL full time, before spending seven years living and studying in the USA, where he received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently lives in London with his son and Norwegian wife Julie.
