Diane Kaneza

Diane Kaneza has over four years of Finance work experience within multinational telecommunication companies in East Africa. Diane Kaneza currently works as a Finance officer at Higher Life Foundation Burundi SBU (an Econet Foundation), which a is philanthropic organization that offers education scholarships to underprivileged children locally and international merit based scholarships to talented young people. Her responsibilities include reporting, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, and day to day finance operations of the SBU. Before joining Higher Life Foundation in January 2017, she worked simultaneously as a Management Accountant and Business Analyst Officer at Econet Leo Burundi. She is passionate about economic growth in Burundi and providing financial literacy to emerging entrepreneurs as a tool of building sustainable and successful businesses. Diane is a certified accountant (ACCA) and holds a degree in Banking and Finance. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Diane plans to continue her work in entrepreneurship and mentoring History Makers (scholarship beneficiaries) at Higher Life Foundation.
