Dimitri Ross Owen Figaro

Dimitri Ross Owen Figaro has been a Nursing Officer for five years in the public health system. He chose nursing over all other professions, as he likes to help people in difficulty. Owen is always on the move and is currently working in the Accident and Emergency Department of a regional hospital in Rose Belle. Dimitri Ross Owen Figaro is a gold award holder of the Duke of Edinburgh and has since been active with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, organizing youth camps, coordinating lectures and facilitating community based projects at the grassroots level. Owen has been a Volunteer, First Aider, Team Leader, Instructor and Nurse for the Mauritius Red Cross society for fourteen years. He has been following intensive international training in Disaster Preparedness and Response and is a member of the National Disaster Response Unit (Disaster Communication and Health Department). Owen is also the founding member of the Climate Leaders Initiative, a program for limiting the climate crisis through community awareness. Since its creation in 2016, the initiative has extended to 4 countries and Owen’s goal is to make it global by year 2020. Stayed in Africa.
