DJ Fix
Fix loves to blast the bass of the underground sounds on Saturday nights with her electro dance show which she describes as loud, experimental and all about the music.
This talented radio personality lists a number of talents and achievements on her CV, including accomplished MC, voice-over artist, motivational speaker, philanthropist, TV personality and club DJ. Combining her love of fashion and her extensive knowledge of music (especially what’s hot on the global and local dance scene) makes Fix a 5FM favourite six days a week.
Fix, who hails from the Eastern Cape and spent some of her childhood growing up in Botswana and England, got her first taste of the showbiz life in 2006 when she made MTV history by becoming the first female VJ on the networks’ African music television channel. Two years later, 5FM snapped up the versatile presenter, who’s since become one of 5FM’s most recognised DJs. In 2010, Fix was offered the opportunity to further her studies and left South Africa to study Arts Entrepreneurship in America, returning at the end of 2011, just in time for 5FM to bring her back on air.
When’s she’s not on air, Fix is furthering her studies and hopes to complete her social entrepreneurship course through the Gordon Institute of Business Science. Coming from a swimming background, Fix was once upon a time a waterpolo champ playing three caps for the South African Womens’ Team. She has always been a sportswoman and completing the Ironman has been on her bucketlist for many years.
