DJ Naid

DJ Naid (real name Jonaide October), is a versatile and multicultural DJ, Producer and Remixer who started his career at the age of 16 in his hometown Caledon, Western Cape and now reside in Johannesburg.

His undeniable passion and love for music has allowed him to serenade crowds with his unique style of music, mixing skills and track selections.

Naid is one of the most sought out producers and remix artists in the Deep & Soulful House music. Ranking among the top on charts such as iTunes, Beatport and Traxsource and this has been his foundation to perform in clubs, lounges and festivals all over the country. Sharing stages with South African and International acts such as; Black Coffee, Ralf Gum, Rocco, Monique Bingham, Lars Behrenroth, Fresh, Tira & Sox, Glen Lewis, Cleo, Fistaz Mixwell and many others.

Naid’s regular mixes on radio stations; Metro Fm, East Coast Radio, Ukhozi Fm, UCT Radio, Gagasi Fm and Durban Youth Radio, also made him a household name in South Africa.

In 2014, Naid started his own TV show on 1KZN TV (Dstv Channel 261) called “The DJ Mix” and also hosted his own radio shows on North Coast Radio and Icora Fm.

Naid is now the Power Play Energy Drink DJ Competition Regional Winner for Spring Fiesta 2016 hosted by Soulcandi.
