Dominique Uwase Alonga
Dominique Uwase Alonga is a young woman passionate about the intellectual growth and skills improvement of her fellow Africans. She is currently the founder and chief executive officer of ImagineWe Rwanda, a social enterprise and publishing house with the aim of empowering the reading and creative writing culture in Rwanda. In this role she focuses on book donations, training potential authors, and book publishing. She believes that her organization will spread beautiful African stories around the world. Dominique also volunteers her time talking to young girls with the aim of boosting their self-esteem. Dominique Uwase Alonga trains young people on project development and work ethic through the History Makers Project. Dominique holds a Bachelors Degree in Media Studies from Jain University, India. After the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Dominique plans to strengthen her entrepreneurial and business skills to improve the lives of young people in Rwanda through sustainable ventures and projects.
