Dr Estelle Jonkergouw

Estelle Jonkergouw was appointed to the Board of Directors in March 2018. She holds a PhD in Econometrics and has previously held risk management functions within the banking and insurance industry making her an expert in enterprise risk management.  She has also developed executive risk management trainings and teaches in this field at the Dutch Actuarial Institute and at University of Amsterdam. Estelle Jonkergouw currently  works as interim professional providing  advice and support to strengthen the Financial Risk Management Department in Rwanda.Estelle previously worked with financial institutions: Rabobank as the Senior VP – Head Risk Model Validation and Methodology, Group Risk Management where she validated all risk models for Basel II purposes; she also worked with ACHMEA where she set up a Financial Risk Management function, implemented a Risk Management Framework for solvency II and at Lloyds Bank as the Head of Risk Management and Compliance.
