Dr Phindile Masangane

Phindile C. Masangane (PhD Chemistry, MBA, BSc.(Maths & Chemistry)) 

Phindile was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the South African upstream oil and gas regulatory authority, the Petroleum Agency South Africa (“PASA”), in May 2020.

Before joining the Agency, Phindile was an executive at the South African state-owned energy company, CEF SOC Ltd, where she was responsible for developing clean, renewable and alternative energy projects in partnership with private companies. While at CEF, Phindile participated in the development of energy policies and regulations for diversifying the country’s energy mix under the leadership of the DMRE.
