Dr. Thabi Leoka

Dr Thabi Leoka, a highly-respected economist and speaker, is a board member of Corruption Watch. As an economic strategist, her focus lies on the financial State of the South African Nation.

Thabi has held top positions at Renaissance Capital, Standard Bank Corporate and Investing, Barclays Wealth, and Investec Asset Management where she was based in London for the latter post.

She obtained her PhD and MSc in Economics from the London University School of Economics, and also holds an MA in Economic Development and International Trade from Wits University and a BA in Social Science from Wits University,South Africa

She is a regular columnist for Business Times in the Sunday Times, and for Money Management. In addition, she is an accomplished speaker and was an economic advisor to the Fees Commission as well as former finance minister Nhlanhla Nene.

A frequent guest on radio and television shows, her opinions are sought and respected throughout Africa.
