Dr Solomons diagnoses and treats both common and complex illnesses in adults, including long-term chronic illnesses such as Type 2 diabetes and heart disease. These conditions are often a result of poor lifestyle choices. Dr Solomons offers compassionate care and is committed to her patients’ healing and wellbeing.
Dr Solomons has a passion for teaching and education. She is excited about her journey with Melomed, especially because the Melomed Private Hospital Group has partnered with Stellenbosch University to provide training to medical students. Dr Solomons is the coordinator for the students. In the program, students accompany specialist doctors on ward rounds and assist the doctors with patients. This provides a transfer of rare clinical skills and knowledge to medical undergrad students. Dr Solomons states: “It’s important to us that the students are able to receive safe and effective clinical training at our hospitals within the community… Melomed Gatesville Hospital provides that opportunity to expose the students to a health-system that helps to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs”.
If a patient requires the assistance and expertise of another specialist, such as a cardiologist, oncologist, or a surgeon, Dr Solomons offers multi-disciplinary referrals. Call her today for a consult.
