Elizabeth Achola Mangeni
Elizabeth Achola Mangeni has over two years of experience in creating disability awareness and empowering girls, especially those with disabilities who face double discrimination that’s based on their gender and disability status. Elizabeth Achola Mangeni is the co-founder of You4She, an initiative aimed at empowering and educating young adolescent girls on menstrual hygiene. She is currently on a scholarship with African Union, pursuing her master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovations Management at the University of Nairobi,Kenya. Elizabeth is driven by her passion in entrepreneurship because it gives her the risk to push herself beyond her capabilities to see the development and change she seeks to have in her society. Upon completion of Mandela Washington Fellowship, Elizabeth dedicates to invest in the future of Africa through supporting different ventures in entrepreneurship, education, and women’s empowerment as that’s where the future of Africa lies. She looks forward to having a potential impact of leaving a lasting, sustainable legacy within her society and community at large by exposing young emerging entrepreneurs to opportunities and providing them with necessary expertise for them to thrive. Outside class and entrepreneurship, Elizabeth enjoys travelling, watching football, and interacting across cultures.
