Elizabeth Mburu

Elizabeth Mburu joined AB Bank in June 2014 as the Payments Specialist, and was primarily responsible for setting up the payments department. She was promoted as the Head of Banking Services in October 2015. Elizabeth had also served as the Acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) in July-September 2015 and March-June 2016.

Elizabeth Mburu previously worked in Rwanda at the largest telecom company in corporate sales from 2006 to 2008. After that, she moved to Cayman Islands and worked in an international bank there as the transaction accountant and later, as a banking supervisor at another well-known international bank.
Elizabeth holds a commerce degree from Kenyatta University in Kenya, and is also a certified anti money laundering specialist.
