Enhle Mbali Maphumulo
Enhle Mbali Maphumulo is a South African Actress, Director and TV Presenter who made her acting debut in Moja Movie factory’s Mtunzini.com in 2005, and took her first lead role in the SABC 1 Drama – Tshisa.
Enhle Mbali Maphumulo has been cast in a number of South africa’s leading soapies and drama series such as iNkaba, Moferefere lenyalong, Soul City and Rhythm City. In 2012 enhle was cast in the role of Lindiwe Mabaso in the popular TV series, Rockville.
Starting off as a Channel-O presenter on the show Young, Gifted and Black, Enhle has cemented herself as one of South africa’s key faces when it comes to presenting. She joined Starbiz in 2013, a weekly entertainment show on aNN7, DSTV channel 405, where she showcased her knowledge about the all things entertainment.
Enhle Mbali Maphumulo shot to stardom with her role on SABC 1’s African murder mystery series, ‘Mtunzini.com’ at the tender age of 17. Her career was set to bloom from inception and soon landed a leading role on the popular TV drama ‘Tshisa’. A phenomenal actress, TV Presenter, Director and Fashion Designer; Enhle Mbali is a force to be reckoned with.
Despite her jet-setter life, Enhle is an established designer and businesswoman. In 2015 she launched a maternity wear range, SE Preggoz, in New York and South Africa. The range is all about still being able to look gorgeous and stylish while pregnant.
Enhle’s career sprung from her outstanding performance on Tshisa, which opened doors to roles on numerous South African leading soapies and drama series which include ‘iNkaba’, ‘Moferefere Lenyalong’, ‘Soul City’ and ‘Rhythm City’. Netting her acting career with presenting; 2009 marked the year Enhle started her TV presenting career where she hosted Channel-O’s Award Winning ‘Young, Gifted and Black’. Done with ease and grace, she later went on to present ANN7’s ‘StarBiz’, a weekly entertainment show where she showcased her knowledge on the all things entertainment. These platforms catapulted her career and have established her as a well-respected and multi-talented performer.
Her sense of ease, powerful stance and sheer determination are just some of the qualities that keep audiences intrigued. Passionate about her craft, Enhle landed roles on popular TV hits such as ‘Rockville’, ‘7nde Laan’, ‘My Family’ and ‘Those who can’t teach’.
From being a Fashion student at University of Johannesburg in her earlier years to going to Boston to study film, Enhle has shown us that school is never out. The actress recently went on to study Performance at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
According to Enhle, the best fashion advice she has received and always passes on is, “Always alter clothes to suit your physique. Clothes should not wear you, you should wear them”. Her personal style is effortlessly enviable.
