Eunice Osei-Mensah

Eunice Osei-Mensah has over five years of experience in the military medical sector, specifically focusing on the preventive healthcare as compared to curative medicine. Eunice is a medical doctor and a senior military officer in the Ghana Army with the rank of major. Eunice works at the 37 Military Hospital where she attends to the medical needs of patients in the armed services and civilian patients. Previously, Eunice served as the senior medical officer in charge of over 400 Ghanaian troops during the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Eunice Osei-Mensah is committed to reducing the physician to patient ratio in her community by advocating for medical awareness and public health education to enable uniformed personnel to identify patient symptoms in a timely manner and have patients seek early medical assistance. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Eunice intends to pursue further studies in the public health sector, enabling her to professionally establish medical policies that will create stigma-free psycho-medical health amongst the military and her community at large.
