Faith Humang Mashimbye
Ms Faith Mashimbye was appointed deputy director-general in September 2011.
She holds a Bachelor degree from the former University of Bophuthatswana, and a Master’s degree in Economic and Social Development from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Ms Mashimbye worked as an educator in the Free State and later as director at the provincial Department of Education. She joined the North West Department of Education as chief director in 2002.
Five years later she was appointed manager at the Department of Local Government and Housing.
Ms Mashimbye’s leadership roles include serving as a member of the North West Department of Education’s departmental budget and procurement committees, as well as on the provincial education labour relations council, the regional executive management forum, the executive regional management team, and the departmental job evaluation panel.
