Fatoumata Barry Ibrahim O is an award-winning writer and medical professional. She is a medical doctor candidate and holds a Bachelor in Health Communication. Fatoumata’s research is focused on mental health evaluation of cancer patients. She aims to highlight needed support and establish strategies with the health ministry to implement the first National Psychological Support Center for chronic disease patients. She is also passionate about literature. Her writing has exposed the voices of a thousand women through her three short story collections and poetry. Her poetry was published alongside illustrious poets such as Maya Angelou, Cesaire, and Senghor.
