Fausio Mussa
Fáusio Mussá is a Mozambican working for Standard Bank for 18 years. Since the beginning of 2011 he took over the role of Chief Economist for Mozambique. Currently
he is responsible for economic research for Mozambique and Angola. He holds a post graduate in business administration and honors degree in economics. He was an Exco member for Standard Bank in Mozambique when he was leading the Bank´s credit division with responsibilities for both corporate and personal lending portfolios from 2008 to 2010.
Before moving to credit, he helped setting up and managing a transactional banking and services unit for the corporate banking offering in Mozambique. From 2005 to 2007 he was the head of investment banking division in Mozambique. He joined Standard Bank as financial analyst for the investment banking division in 2001. Prior to joining Standard Bank, he worked two years in the markets division of the Mozambican central bank as an economist.
