Fifi Cooper

Fifi Cooper

Fifi Cooper from Mahikeng in the North West is a rising star in the South African music industry. Cooper, whose real name is Refilwe Mooketsi, hails from the dusty township of Montshiwa.

The only female Motswako artist walked away with the Best Produced Album and the Best Female Album at the 15th Metro FM Music Awards in Durban, South Africa

Fifi Cooper was thrust into the spotlight in 2010 after releasing her single Chechella Morao which caused a buzz in the local rap fraternity.

From the age of nine she had a keen interest in hip hop. She performed at Expressions, the youth development music show in Mafikeng which earned her a spot on Mr Mo Molemi’s album.

It did not end there, as the adage goes, “a new broom sweeps clean”.

Fifi Cooper was later featured by Khuli Chana. Her mentor from Mahikeng, Tolamo Kgoboe says from dance classes and singing, this multi-talented young lady was destined for the entertainment industry.
