Folarin Alayande

Folarin Alayande is Head of Strategy and Corporate Development of FBN Holdings Plc with responsibility for growth and innovation across the Group. Prior to his appointment, he was pioneer Director of Public Service with global consulting firm Accenture in Nigeria from 2011-2014 with responsibility for client account leadership and market development across Tax and Revenue Agencies, Public Sector Operations, and Defence and Public Safety.

As Country Strategy Lead for Accenture between 2007 and 2011, Folarin Alayande served as program director for Nigeria’s Vision 20:2020 Economic Transformation Program ; School Lead for the Global Core Analyst School in Illinois, United States, and was on the international firm’s Global Leadership Development Program in 2010-2011 for the highest-performing senior managers across 40 countries worldwide. Over his management consulting career, he led multi-year advisory engagements in strategy, M&A, and organizational transformation working with the boards of some of West Africa’s largest financial service institutions, regulators and public service agencies, including a brief stint as Project Manager in Asia Pacific in 2005.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of the United Kingdom, Mr. Alayande obtained his Masters degree from The London School of Economics, and earlier worked for Citibank as a risk analyst. He is distinguished recipient of the United States Bicentennial /African-American Institute Certificate of Excellence and the United Nations African Industrialisation Day Prize. An active nature tourist, he has served ad-hoc on the Presidential Committee on Police Reforms and is a regular contributor and thought leader in the fields of competitive strategy and corporate governance.
