Froydis Cameron

Group Head of IGSR Anglo American

Experienced international executive and sustainability practitioner with over 25 years in the extractives sector. Froydis started her career in government and joined the oil and gas sector and gained over a decade of experience holding a number of project and corporate positions around the world. 

She joined Anglo American to lead integrated sustainability planning for ‘mega projects’ –in Alaska, China Brazil and Peru. Froydis is currently of Group Head of Sustainability, International and Government Relations responsible for country risk, stakeholder engagement and public policy areas such as climate change and human rights as well as ensuring integrated government relations planning, geopolitical risk and scenario analysis. She also led Anglo American’s strategic approach to the future of work, including  inclusion and diversity and the global response to GBV prevention.

On a personal note, Froydis is most happy hiking in the wilderness with her family or open water swimming. She also supports women in industry and mentored a number of women throughout the years and is actively involved in a number of education and women’s charities.
