Gadzanani Kind Makopola
Gadzanani Kind Makopola is the CEO of a group of companies focused on government and private project finance, mining and construction. He started an information and communication technology company 16 years ago at the tender age of 19, while he was studying IT engineering. This computer engineer turned serial entrepreneur took a leap of faith and ventured into a sector most don’t dare to enter: mining. His passion saw him move into other countries, where he developed and grew his business networks in other sectors. Gadza’s experience saw him spearheading as director the investment forum of the marketing and sales department of Botswana’s oldest city, Francistown. There, he crafted investment opportunities and the city’s value proposition, unearthing a US$5 billion of investment potential. Gadza’s companies work with global groups that finance government projects as well as private and public-private partnership projects. They include infrastructure, information and communication technology, and agriculture.
