Gaimin Nonyane
Gaimin Nonyane is Head of Economic Research at the pan-African bank, Ecobank Group, based in London, and focusses on macroeconomic dynamics in Sub-Saharan Africa, fixed income and currencies and market advisory to clients. She joined the bank in November 2012, and helped to launch its first ever Country Profiles, designed to given investors an insight into the operating environment in Middle Africa. Prior to that, she headed the sub-Saharan Africa desk on macroeconomic and political research at Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) UK Limited.
She also worked as an Economic Consultant for a number of World-Bank funded projects in Lesotho, Southern Africa. She was also one of 21 Research Fellows under the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellowship scheme, designed to place young career economists at mid-management level in developing countries. Gaimin has an MSc in International Economics and Policy from the University of Surrey and a BA (Hons) in Economic Studies with Law.
