GEORGINA MALOMBE

Georgina joined the board in June 2014. She holds a BSc. Agribusiness Management from Egerton University and an MBA Finance from the University of Nairobi. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya, a member of Professional Trainers Association of Kenya and Association of Women Accountants of Kenya. She has over 13 years’ experience in Auditing, Financial reporting and general management of Institutions.

Georgina has previously worked as an Auditor at Kibiego Kiptum and Company, Manager at NGP Bamburi Sacco Limited and Executive Officer at Registration of Accountants Board. She currently works for the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya where she has previously headed the licensing department, audit quality assurance department and currently serving in the Public Policy and Governance department. For the last four years, she is a FiRe Award Evaluator, an award that promotes excellence in financial reporting which is jointly promoted by Capital Markets Authority, Nairobi Securities Exchange and Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.

She has previously served on a delegated capacity as the Secretary to the Registration and Quality Committee of ICPAK. Currently she is the Secretary to Public Finance and Tax Subcommittee of ICPAK and also sits in a task force that reviews accounting Syllabus of Kenya Accountants and Secretaries Examination Board. She serves in the Risk, Information Technology, Finance and Strategy and in Audit Committee. She is a board member of KCB South Sudan.
