Gerhardus Schoeman

Gerhardus Schoeman was appointed as deputy director-general: finance and administration at the Department of Basic Education in April 2012.

He holds a national diploma, a Bachelor of Administration from the University of South Africa and Bachelor of Administration Honours Degree in Public Administration from the University of Pretoria.

Gerhardus Schoeman was previously a chief director: personnel administration and development at the Department of Basic Education responsible for all administrative personnel at the department’s head office, eight regional offices, colleges of education, technical colleges and special schools as well as the compilation of all personnel policy documents in the department.
