Gil Oved and Ran Neu-Ne
Ran Neu-Ner is the Co-CEO and Co-Founder of The Creative Counsel. He graduated from university with a B.Com and a CFA. Thereafter he started number of business ventures including a wholesale, mobile, shoe import business and an electronics company. In 2001 Neu-Ner started The Creative Counsel, a below-the-line activations company, with school friend Gil Oved. The company started as a two man agency with a zero capital base and with no knowledge of promotions. Today it’s the largest advertising group in South Africa by staff and turnover.
Oved was born on 16 August 1975 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He matriculated at Crawford College, Sandton, earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Cum Laude) at the University of South Africa, and subsequently obtained a chartered financial analyst (CFA) qualification. The company grew exponentially, through the acquisition of new clients as well as other businesses in the advertising and marketing sector attracting the attention of Publicis Groupe who bought the Company in September 2015. TCC operates under Publicis Africa Group. Oved remains group co-CEO together with Neu-Ner. The Creative Counsel has retained its name.
