Gilbert Mucyo
Gilbert Mucyo served as the first Google Student Ambassador to his country and pioneered the mapping of all major tourist and cultural sites of Rwanda. He currently works for the Office of the Government Spokesperson as a Communications Researcher where he is responsible for government online communication strategies. Gilbert Mucyo works with various stakeholders to deliver quick, affordable, and reliable services to the citizens of Rwanda through online and mobile applications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications. After the fellowship, he intends to use the acquired knowledge and expertise to improve his work but also to take it to the next step through the rich network of the Young African Leaders Initiative alumni.
