Glen Bo
Glen Bo is an alternative stand-up comedian. He has also crossed over into music and acting, but remains a true underground comedian. He started stand-up in 2001 in RSA moving to the U.K in 2002 and returning in 2008.
Born in Mooinooi yet a reader of such things as Steven Hawking’s thoughts on space and time and if you enjoy drinking 4 coffees, eating an absinthe pie and turning yourself into a suspension bridge made out of toast, you might just like his thinking. That or the midgets will get you.
Glen Bo – Durban based, international Proudly South African comedian. He has performed all over South Africa, England, Scotland, Wales and toured hard for 5 years overseas. In SA in the last two years has set up the D.S.O.C (Durban School of Comedy) which now promotes all Natal Comedy and develops younger acts.
Glen’s stand-up is observational and alternative and is peppered by surrealism, wit and even some comedic philosophy. He believes the secret to comedy is pain, but the most important thing is to be funny – in your own way. He has developed a career in stand-up from humble beginnings in JHB which he moved to the U.K to become a better act. He has also moved into acting is in a band and his improve skills are the basis of him being booked by various companies for product launches and special events.
