Gobonaone Modisane

Gobonaone Modisane is the owner and director of Young Chefs Academy, Botswana. She has six years’ experience in teaching and managing day-to-day business activities including managing employees, curriculum, finances, and the growth of the business. Modisane graduated with a Bachelor of Special Education at the University of Botswana in 2008. She uses cooking as a tool to equip children (including mainstream children, those with special needs, the vulnerable and orphans) with life skills. In 2015 Modisane has won two awards that well describe her talents: Young Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and Innovator of the Year. She works with different organizations to empower the youth and promote entrepreneurship. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship she hopes to grow her business in order to reach out to a larger number of marginalized children and youth through vocational training and mentorship.
