Grace Mkanjala Mwashigadi
Grace Mkanjala Mwashigadi is a research clinician at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Program, Kilifi. Grace Mkanjala Mwashigadi has over six years’ experience in key population studies focusing on acute HIV infection detection, community engagement, and programs extending HIV prevention and care to very vulnerable and marginalised populations. Outside clinical work, Grace volunteers as a member of the board of directors of an NGO, Local Empowerment for Good Governance (LENGGO), whose main mandate is to enhance good governance and resource utilization. She is a charter member of the Mombasa Campus Lions Club, which offers charity to orphaned children. Through Undugu Mentorship Initiative she mentors secondary-school students in life skills, careers, positive attitude, and risky behaviors to help them build confidence. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she aspires to become an effective educator and researcher in the prevention of diseases. Stayed in Kenya.
