GUS CLARKE

Gus Clarke is head of cyber security at TymeDigital by Commonwealth Bank of South Africa, SA’s newest bank since 1999. He has over 15 years of experience in various aspects of cyber security, holding positions such as associate director and penetration testing lead at PwC Cyber Africa. Clarke holds a multifaceted role that is a key communication bridge between technical and strategic teams for the bank, while understanding emerging threats and their relevant controls. He was also previously the head of digital security for Civic, a Silicon Valley identity protection company and has in excess of eight years’ experience in government security management, while consulting as a senior security specialist and provincial security manager. Clarke’s passion unashamedly lies within technical security research and developing the next generation of cyber security experts.
