Gwenael Trotel

Prior to joining Standard Bank, Gwenael Trotel held various leadership positions in the local financial technology industry, where he accumulated a wealth of experience spanning 18 years since he travelled from his native France to South Africa for what was initially supposed to be a short stay. Gwenaël has a genuine passion for electronic payments, particularly product innovation, development and commercialisation, a domain where he can leverage his dual business/technology competency. Gwenael Trotel now focuses on card digitisation, eCommerce acceleration and Open Banking strategies.
