Harkite Hippolyte Sib
Hippolyte Harkite Sib has a Master’s degree in Sociology and an academic background in Psychology and Pedagogy. Currently he is a Project Manager at the NGO COGINTA for the operationalization of the Regional Justice Centers of Kindia, Labe, and Kankan in Guinea. In his work, Harkite Hippolyte Sib facilitates access for vulnerable youth and women to justice services in the rural areas. Previously, Harkite worked as a Program Officer on a project that supports police reform to serve better citizens with the same NGO. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor at universities in Guinea since 2013. As a volunteer socio-educational facilitator for youth and orphans with the church of Saint Vincent of Paul in Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire for four years, Harkite worked to help reintegrate vulnerable children through education and socio-professional training. Four years after this volunteer experience, Harkite became a school Headmaster in Guinea where he provided psychosocial assistance to children living in difficult conditions and to those in danger of dropping out. As Headmaster, he also worked to foster positive parenthood with his students’ parents. Harkite hopes to open a socio-educational center in Cote d’Ivoire for youth and women to provide them the psycho-social support, resources to continue their education, and socio-professional training. In addition to acquiring new skills and developing a robust network, Harkite hopes the Mandela Washinton Fellowship will help him meet community leaders of youth, women, men, and religious groups to create a socio-educational center. Stayed in Africa.
