Heriniaina Rakotomalala

Heriniaina Rakotomalala has been working on land issues for six years. Since 2013, he has been the research and knowledge officer of the Madagascar Land Observatory, which produces information and evidence in order to help the Malagasy Government implement land reform. As research officer, Heriniaina Rakotomalala leads the evaluation of the impact of land reform on land administration. Heriniaina also volunteers at an NGO that focuses on sustainable development. He has significant skills in statistics, monitoring and evaluation, and land reform implementation. Heriniaina holds a master’s degree in Agronomy and Rural Development from the University of Antananarivo. The second step of Malagasy Land Reform will start at the end of 2016, and Heriniaina will be involved in this upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship(Africa).
