Ibrahim Djagra Ibrahim

Ibrahim Djagra Ibrahim was born in Mora-Cameroon (the most affected zone by Boko Haram in Cameroon). Ibrahim is a peacebuilder, working in the field of Countering Violent Extremism, specifically against the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram. To achieve these goals, Ibrahim is armed with skills in volunteerism, leadership, peace and security, and entrepreneurship. Ibrahim Djagra Ibrahim contributed to the creation of the first private center to fight radicalization, violent extremism and terrorism in sub-Saharan Africa. This center has three primary areas of focus: leadership for peace, entrepreneurship for peace and strengthening communication strategies in conflict-sensitive areas. Leadership for peace (#Leadership4Peace) advocates for the mobilization, consultation, and participation of young people into the local, national and international decision-making bodies to build lasting peace and Inclusive development. Entrepreneurship for peace (#Entrepreneurship4Peace) trains young people and women on the present economic opportunities in their specific contexts. Ibrahim works to strengthen communication strategies in conflict-sensitive areas in partnership with nine community radio stations. The center?s goal is to fight radicalization, violent, extremism and terrorism in sub-Saharan Africa.
