Ilda Suzana Massuanganhe Guambe

Ilda Suzana Massuanganhe Guambe has 10 years of professional experience in management and business administration. Currently she is the Executive Secretary to the Ambassador of Finland in Maputo where she is responsible for the coordination of the overall environment at the Embassy and also is an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator. She promotes debates and workshops on women and girls empowerment, especially within the religious community in rural areas. Ilda Suzana Massuanganhe Guambe holds a bachelor´s degree in Management and Administration from Africa University in Zimbabwe and is currently studying for her master’s degree in Business and Entrepreneurship at University of São Tomas writing her thesis on less privileged women and girls in rural communities and their education and rights. Upon completion of the Washington Fellowship program, Ilda plans to promote trainings and workshops for rural women and girls in Mumemo-Marracuene District, advocating for women’s rights and also mentoring girls on the consequences of early marriages, which is a great concern in this community and in the country in general. Ilda was one of 100 Fellows competitively selected to participate in an 8-week internship in the United States following the Mandela Washington Fellowship academic institute. She interned at the International Executive Service Corps (IESC) in August-September 2014.
